Hi, my name is Alexandra. I am very excited to start this blog journey alongside all of you. This blog is dedicated to all the wonderful little humans that fill our lives with smiles and pure love. My goal is for this blog to be a place where parents, teachers, siblings, family and friends can come and learn more about the lives of the children they influence. ABOUT THE FOUNDER
For years, I have served as a useful source to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. This year, I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it.
I am currently a third year doctoral student studying school and clinical psychology at Kean University in Union, NJ. I have obtained my Masters degree in Educational Psychology in May (2018) & will be earning my Doctoral degree (PsyD) in 2021. In addition, to that coursework, I am also taking courses in Applied Behavior Analysis. My goal is to become a dually licensed School and Clinical Psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). In my undergraduate studies I majored in Speech, Language and Hearing Science, BS & Psychology, BA. I have over 12 years of experience working with children ranging from birth to adolescence and their families through the roles of early intervention therapist, ABA therapist, family aide, tutor, special education caregiver and nanny. I have served as an school psychology extern in the child study team in the Union, NJ district during the 2017-2018 school year. This year I am at Mount Sinai Hospital in the Center for ADHD, Learning Disabilities and Related Disorders Neuropsychology program as a clinical psychology extern. In addition, I am also working as a research assistant at the Seaver Center at Mount Sinai Hospital which focused on individuals with autism spectrum disorder. I hope to fill the gap between academia and real-life family experiences by providing knowledge that may sometimes seem to be hiding but extremely useful for families who need it. Do not hesitate to contact me, we are in this together. I look forward to hearing from you all!!
